Mechanically another odd arrangement with the mounting holes off centre and only 2 screws. You end up using a small drill bit to mark the wall as a template has not been provided. No grommets or provision for side cable entry either, you may need stand-offs.The actual LED module looks thoroughly waterproofed, but the connector block less so. It is a 2-wire arrangement with 2 position connector block. I found I had to replace it with a 3 position connector block for the sake of other lights which are wired from it, but the spacing is standard and one does fit neatly.

I bought this to replace an existing outdoor ceiling lamp in a porch. Installation was straightforward as the wiring from the original lamp was already in place.The whole setup from fixing the lamp to connecting it to the Hue hub purchased at the same time probably took less than 30 minutes.Using an Alexa routine I have it set to come on at sunset and turn off at a fixed time.The brightness is more than adequate and in fact I don’t have it set to full brightness.

I know Philips Hue products are not the cheapest, but they do work very well and are my go to after having tried many other alternatives.I use this as my front Porch light and have it set on a timer using the Philips Hue App, where you can also set what colour or white Ambient tint you want the light to be.Fitting was as simple as drilling a couple of holes, fitting the bracket, connecting your mains wires and then screwing in place.
